MUSEUMS Sheffield has received an extra £650,000 from Sheffield
Council on top of its normal funding of £2.4 million a year to help the
trust continue its current programme of exhibitions and events.
The
trust, which runs the Millennium and Graves galleries, and Weston Park
Museum, lost out on a bid for £4.4m from the Arts Council in January for
the next three years.
Museums Sheffield is waiting to see if it
will receive support in another round of Arts Council funding, to be
announced in the next month.
