A MINING museum near Barnsley will be able to stay open after securing a new funding deal.
The National Coal Mining Museum is set to receive an annual grant from the National Museum of Science and Industry, after the Government carried out a review of its funding arrangements.
The museum will remain an independent charity with its own board of trustees
