Talk - Gothic Architecture in South Yorkshire (Blyth)

South Yorkshire has masterpieces of Gothic architecture!

An ancient parish church has usually undergone redevelopments through the centuries. The evolution of old churches can be read from the style of arches, doorways and windows.

We often talk about Decorated, Perpendicular or Early English - but what do these styles look like, and how can you spot them?

Join celebrated local heritage speaker Pat McLaughlin and find out more.

The talk will last around 2 hours, and refreshments will be available.

Date: Wednesday 23rd March 2011
Time: 1:30pm
Venue: Blyth Barnby Memorial Hall (High Street Blyth, S81 8EW)
Cost: £1 per person (pay on the door)
