A KIMBERLEY resident has written his fourth book delving into the history of the area.
John Lee has just had ‘A Brief History of Newthorpe’ published - the fourth and final book in a series which has also looked at Kimberley, Watnall and Awsworth.
The book goes from the Saxon times to the present day and has been a hit with people as far away as Australia and Canada, researching their family trees.
Mr Lee, of Babbington Lane, said: “It’s amazing the amount of people linked with the area.”
The 64-year-old said he enjoys the research part most and he spent a lot of his time at the Nottinghamshire Archives.
